What are Excel Worksheet?
By Default when you open a new excel sheet you will get sheet1 as default, Now what if you have multiple source of data from Different Organisation like Google, Microsoft. Maintaining them on the different sheet is Good Idea right?
- To insert a new worksheet you can click on the + button, or right-click and insert the button
- To change the color of the tab, Right-click on the worksheet tab then click on Tab color, Choose the color from the list
- Short cut to Create a copy of the Excel worksheet: Press CTRL, left-click on the worksheet drag, and release this will create a copy of the document. If you are using a Mac system instead of CTRL, press alt.
- To make changes in Multiple cells at a time in a different worksheet, Press CTRL, select the worksheet you want to go to any cell type what you need, and press enter.
3D Formulas in Excel
To summing up the values across multiple worksheets we will use 3D Formulas, This will only apply all the worksheet has the same structure. Let’s see how to use the 3D Formula in Excel below.
- Google, Microsoft are two worksheets with the same structure here and I want to add the total no of employees
- Select any cell you want to get the sum, type =Sum
- Then Go to Google cell select the cell which has the total employee number press shift and clicks on the Microsoft tab then press enter.

How to link excel Workbooks in Excel?
- Above you have seen how to link the excel sheets using 3D Formulas. Browse all the workbook and arrange them all as stacked (View -> Arrange all, Select the option Tiled and then click on okay,
- Type = in the cell of the current workbook and select the cells from workbook 1, Press F4 for this 3 times until you get! (Relative cell Referencing) in the equation. using relative cell reference to cope with the changes in the future.
- In the future, if you want to delete the link between the Workbook Go to Data -> Edit Link, and break the link.

Summarise Data from Different Workbook in Excel
Consolidate Tool will help in Summarizing data from different ranges and produce results in a single output. All the cells you selected from the different columns will appear on the new consolidated workbook.
- Go to Data, then select the Consolidate icon.
- A pop-up will appear from this select the reference cells from the different workbooks and click on Add button and then click on okay.
Types of Cell References in Excel
$B1 : Coloum stagnant when copy $B$1 : Coloum and row dont change when copy B$1 : Row dont change when copy

No, You cannot undo a deleted Excel sheet. so Make sure while you work or delete Excel Worksheet.
As long has you dont delete any sheet which used for 3D formula calculation nothing affects the result.
You cannot undo Consolidation with link in Microsoft Excel.
